The YMCA of Van Wert County will host youth dances throughout the year.  Dances are held in our main gym and supervised by YMCA staff and volunteers.  Some dances will have themes and fun activities like our Halloween dance!  These are perfect opportunities for youth to meet new friends and have a great time.  Concessions are available.

Cost: $4 per person

The YMCA will host two kids fun days a year.  These are typically on days where there is no school so youth can have a day full of activities at the YMCA.  Activities will include: sports, crafts, and swimming. 

We also host the New Years Lock in on New Years Eve.  Children can enjoy a whole night at the YMCA while parents enjoy a New Years night out!  We will keep your children busy in a safe and fun environment.  (No early pick ups).

The Healthy Kids Day initiative began as a way to encourage healthy habits for children.  Our event includes healthy activities and vendors from various organizations in Van Wert.  Families can attend and have fun.  This event is free of charge.  

Event Date: April 20, 2024!!

This is our annual fundraiser that happens from November through January.  This 50/50 fundraiser helps raise money for our youth sports programs.  Tickets are purchased for $5 each or 5 for $20.  The winner receives half of the funds raised and the other half benefits youth sports.  In the past, winners have received up to $800!

Each year, the YMCA of Van Wert County puts together a community event for the morning of Good Friday!
We gather the community for fellowship and to hear the impact story of a local individual or organization.  
Breakfast is provided during our fellowship time!  Families and individuals can enjoy the company of others
and then the program begins.

Past speakers have included: the Ron Bagley Family, Dana Motycka, Dr. Jeff Easley, and many others.
